"I think of you often
and make no outward show,
But what it means to lose you,
no one will ever know
You wished no one farewell,
not even said good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
You are not forgotten
nor will you ever be,
As long as life and memories last,
I will remember thee.
To some you may be forgotten,
to others a part of the past,
But to me who loved you dearly,
your memories will always last.
Nothing can be more beautiful
than the memories I have of you.
To me, you were someone special,
God must have thought so too!
If tears could build a staircase
and memories a lane,
I would walk all the way to Heaven,
and bring you back again."

Harold Sides
Harold Erwin Sides
Date of Birth:  March 9, 1950
Date of Casualty:  September 20, 1970
Branch of Military:  Army
Rank:  Sgt.
Place of Casualty:  Quang Tri, South                                          Vietman
Wife:  Christina Sides

I visited the Web tonight (9/1/07) looking for information about Harold Sides,  and found the Viet Nam Veteran's Memorial Fund.  They support the Wall at Fair Park.  Every year when I go to the Fair, I make a point of going by the main entrance and placing a sticker by Harold's name.
Check out their website - www.vvmf.org.  I wrote a memorial for Harold, but it will take a couple of days to post.  If you have time, you could post a memorial message, too.
